SAVANNAH, Ga. - The Lander golf team finished seventh of 11 teams Tuesday afternoon in the two-day, three-round Peach Belt Conference Tournament hosted by Armstrong Atlantic State University at the par-72, Savannah Quarters Country Club.
Lander's Max Fischer, the PBC Freshman of the Year, placed eighth overall after shooting a 5-over-par 221 (74-75-72). Roberto Nasalli-Rocca (70-75-81) tied for 17th at 226; Thad Wier (76-82-82) finished 41st at 240; Wes Bowman (80-73-89) placed 43rd at 242; and Tyler Foxx (84-80-80) was 46th at 244.
Flagler won the overall team title with a low 8-over-par 864 and was followed by: 2. UNC Pembroke 888, 3. Armstrong Atlantic 890, 4. Georgia College 892, 5. USC Aiken 899, 6. Columbus State 910, 7. Lander 918, 8. Clayton State 927, 9. Georgia Southwestern 936, 10. Montevallo 952, and 11. North Georgia 969.
