FLORENCE – The No. 16 Lander men's tennis team won two of three doubles matches and five of six singles en route to a 7-2 upset against No. 14 Francis Marion in the Peach Belt Conference opening match for both teams.
In singles, No. 1 Paul-Henri Arrigoni (LU) def. nationally third-ranked Oshada Wijemanne (FMU) 6-4, 4-6, 7-6 (8-6); No. 2 Henrik Willers (LU) def. Karl Rogers (FMU) 6-2, 3-6, 6-2; No. 3 Alex Caspari (FMU) def. Oscar Axelsson (LU) 6-4, 6-2; No. 4 Carlos Marques (LU) def. Tanguy Montoisy (FMU) 6-4, 6-2; No. 5 Oscar Perman (LU) def. Dirk Bair (FMU) 6-2, 6-1; and No. 6 Christopher Mattsson (LU) def. Jack Bishop (FMU) 6-1, 6-2.
