SAVANNAH, Ga. – The Lander volleyball took the first set against No. 15 Armstrong Atlantic, but couldn't continue the upset bid as the Pirates prevailed, 3-1, in a Peach Belt Conference contest Friday night. Game scores were: 21-25, 25-13, 26-24, 25-7.

Armstrong improves to 32-1 overall and 12-1 in the PBC, while Lander falls to 13-16, 3-10.

For Lander, Magi Nottingham, Hannah Dederick and Rebekah Davis all had eight kills, while Jessica Register recorded 37 assists and Kiki Hennessey and Madison Kubal had 16 and 14 digs respectively.

Armstrong Atlantic was led by Jessica Santaniello (11 kills, 11 digs), Leia Pittman (11 kills), Amanda Jones (11 kills), Ashley Seal (33 assists), and Stacey Davis (12 digs).
