GREENWOOD – The Lander volleyball team played No. 17 Armstrong Atlantic close in the third game, but the Pirates were able to rally for that and a 3-0 victory over the Bearcats in a Peach Belt Conference contest in Horne Arena. Game scores were: 25-15, 25-18, 25-22.

Armstrong Atlantic remain unbeaten at 18-0 overall and 6-0 in the PBC, while Lander drops to 7-10, 1-5.

Jordan Rix and Magi Nottingham had nine and eight kills respectively to lead Lander, while Jessica Register had 26 assists and Madison Kubal 17 digs.

Armstrong Atlantic was led by Leia Pittman (10 kills), Ashley Seal (24 assists, 14 digs) and Stacey Davis (10 digs).
