DESTIN, Fla. - The No. 12-ranked Lander golf team is in 10th place Monday after the first two rounds of the 12-team Sandestin Collegiate Championship hosted by the University of West Florida.
The third and final round will be played Tuesday.
Columbus State leads the team standings with a 2-under-par 566 and is followed by: 2. Georgia College 569, 3. Lynn 575, 4. Nova Southeastern 583, 5. Drury 584, 6. West Florida and Queens 585, 8. Delta State 586, 9. Florida Southern 590, 10. Lander 592, 11. Barry 593, and 12. West Georgia 595.
Lander's Max Fischer leads the Bearcat attack and is tied for fifth place with a 141 (70-71). Thad Wier (76-72) is tied for 30th at 148, Roberto Nasalli-Rocca (76-73) is tied for 36th at 149, Tyler Foxx (77-77) is tied for 57th at 154, and Wes Bowman (78-77) is tied for 59th at 155.
