COLUMBUS, Ga. - The No. 15-ranked Lander men's golf team finished in sixth place Monday at the two-round, 14-team Aflac/Cougar Invitational hosted by Columbus State University at the par-71 Country Club of Columbus. The top eight teams qualify for Tuesday's match play competition.
Host Columbus State won the team competition with a low 576, and is followed by 2. North Alabama and Valdosta State 577, 4. Barry 578, 5. Georgia College 579, 6. Lander and Delta State 583, 8. Queens 588, 9. Florida Southern 591, 10. Flagler 596, 11. Carson-Newman 602, 12. Georgia Southwestern 605, 13. Clayton State 611, and 14. Florida Tech 612.
Individually for Lander, Tyler Foxx is tied for seventh with a 143 (69-74), Wes Bowman is tied for 12th with 144 (73-71), Roberto Nasalli-Rocca is tied for 25th with 147 (71-76), Max Fischer is tied for 35th with 149 (74-75), and Thad Wier is 54th with 153 (74-79).
