GREENWOOD - Lander's Shannon McKever, a 6-0, sophomore center from Florence, has been named the Peach Belt Conference women's basketball Player of the Week for games played last week it was announced today by the league office.

Last week McKever led the Lady Bearcats to a pair of PBC victories by averaging 18.5 points and 7.5 rebounds per game. Lander defeated Augusta State, 100-78, then upset No. 17-ranked Clayton State, 61-60.

McKever connected on 8-of-9 field goals against ASU and was 8-of-12 against Clayton State for a 76.2 shooting percentage. In the PBC, McKever is second in field goal percentage (.573), third in rebounding (8.8 rpg.) and fifth in scoring (14.9 ppg.).
