MISENHEIMER, N.C. - Pfeiffer University pinch-hitter Will Davis belted a two-out home run in the bottom of the ninth inning Thursday afternoon to lead the Falcons baseball team to a 1-0 non-conference victory over Lander.

Pfeiffer improves to 11-9 overall, while Lander falls to 4-8.

Andy Quick (0-1) took the loss for Lander in 2.2 innings of relief. Quick allowed one earned run on two hits.

Pfeiffer's Andrew Oliver earned the win in one-third of an inning in relief.

Lander scatter six hits, all singles, by Malcolm McLeod, Gabe McCann, TJ Guinan, AJ Nunziato, Chris Duncan and Alex Baur.
