Mealing had two baskets and a free throw during the run and Sonya Jackson made four free throws, her last two giving Augusta a 38-26 lead with 2:17 left. Tierra Kirkland ended the run with a jumper for Lander's only points of the final eight minutes as the Jaguars closed the first half on a 17-2 run.

Augusta scored the first four points of the second half to extend its largest lead of the game to 16 points, 44-28, on a basket by Godwin, completing a 21-2 run dating back to the eight-minute mark of the first half.

But the Lady Bearcats put together a major rally, outscoring the visitors 22-6 over an eight-minute span to tie the game at 50. Chiles scored the last seven points of the streak, including a lay-up, a jumper and a game-tying 3-pointer with 11 minutes left in the game.
