SAVANNAH, Ga. - The Armstrong Atlantic State volleyball squad captured a share of the Peach Belt Conference regular season title on Friday evening with a 3-1 win over visiting Lander, giving the Pirates their third league crown in the last four seasons. Game scores were: 25-19, 21-25, 25-15, 25-15.
AASU improves to 22-6 overall and 7-2 in the PBC, while Lander is now 20-10, 6-3.
For the Bearcats, Kendall Eayrs led the way with 10 kills and a .320 hitting percentage. Candace LaRocca collected 35 assists and Marina Camps recorded 16 digs.
Rindy Vidovich led AASU with 17 kills, 13 digs and four blocks, while Torrie Bevolo added 13 kills, Marina Marinova 43 assists, eight digs and five blocks, and Casey Howett 19 digs.
Lander plays at PBC rival Augusta State at 3 p.m., Saturday, in the Bearcats regular-season finale.
