EATONTON, Ga.----Lander's Billy Belair shot a 69 and followed with a 71 Monday and is in second place with a two-round 140 after the first day of the Bobcat Invitational Golf Tournament. As a team, Lander is seventh of 15 teams. The tournament continues Tuesday with one round of play.
North Alabama grabbed the first-day lead in the team competition with a low two-round score of 564 and was followed by: 2. Florida Southern 583, 3. Columbus State 584, 4. USC Aiken and USC Upstate 588, 6. Georgia College 594, 7. Lander 601, 8. Rollins 602, 9. Belmont Abbey 603, 10. Presbyterian 604, 11. Carson-Newman 607, 12. UNC Pembroke, 608, 13. Clayton State 609, 14. Valdosta State 611, 15. Coker 627.
