AUGUSTA, Ga.----The Lander men's tennis team claimed five of six singles matches and two of three doubles Tuesday as the No. 10-ranked Bearcats claimed a 7-2 Peach Belt Conference victory at Augusta State University.

Lander improves to 8-4 overall and 3-1 in the PBC, while Augusta State falls to 11-4, 3-3.

In singles, No. 1 Joakim Karlsson (L) def. Lindy Blount, 6-2, 6-1; No. 2 Sergi Mullor (ASU) def. Nicolas Legros, 6-3, 6-2; No. 3 Guilherme Fonseca (L) def. Igor Vasconcellos, 6-1, 6-2; No. 4 Andre Ivarsson (L) def. Victor Meza, 6-3, 6-4; No. 5 George Wilkinson (L) def. Arthur Figuerio, 4-6, 6-3, 10-7; and No. 6 Nicholas Tzekos (L) def. Frederico Mendes, 6-3. 6-3.

In doubles, No. 1 Blount/Mullor (ASU) def. Legros/Fonseca, 8-3; No. 2. Ivarsson/T.C. Valle (L) def. Meza/Vasconcellos, 8-5; and No. 3 Karlsson/Benatzky (L) def. Figuerio/Mendes, 9-7.
