GREENWOOD----The No. 4-ranked Lander men's soccer team remained unbeaten Tuesday when the Bearcats scored one goal in each half to defeat Queens University, 2-0, in a non-conference game.

Lander improves to 5-0 overall, while Queens drops to 3-3.

Nick Cooke gave Lander a 1-0 lead at 5:55 when he headed the ball to the back of the net on an assist from Adam Arthur.

Ivan Stoykov scored the Bearcats only other goal at 73:20 to preserve the win.

Lander goalkeeper Garrett Daum was credited with four saves and posted his second shutout of the season.

Queens outshot Lander, 13-10, and led in corner kicks, 7-2.
