DAHLONEGA, Ga.----The Lander men's tennis team, ranked No. 11 in the country, won its seventh straight match and posted its 11th shutout of the season, Saturday when it blanked North Georgia College & State University, 9-0, in a Peach Belt Conference contest.
Lander improves to 14-1 overall and 6-0 in the PBC, while NGC&SU drops to 3-9, 0-7.
In singles, No. 1 Joakim Karlsson (L) def. Vlad Lumezeanu, 6-3, 6-1; No. 2 Andre Ivarsson (L) def. C.J. Weaver, 7-5, 6-1; No. 3 Nicholas Tzekos (L) def. Gustavo Carballal, 6-3, 6-3; No. 4 T.C. Valle (L) def. Michael Cooper, 6-0, 6-0; No. 5 Caedyn Stinson (L) def. Alex Rodas, 6-1, 6-0; and No. 6 Boris Simic (L) def. Justin Davis, 6-1, 6-0.
