SPARTANBURG----Mandy Rupert led all players with 15 kills as USC Upstate cruised to a 3-0 sweep of Lander on Wednesday evening at the G.B. Hodge Center. The Spartans won by scores of 30-20, 30-27, and 30-19.

USC Upstate, winners of four straight, move to 19-8 overall on the season and 7-2 inside the PBC. Lander falls to 7-19 overall and 0-9 in the league.

Go to along with her kill total, Rupert recorded one ace and eight digs on the evening. Lauren Mrowczynski totaled 14 kills and a solo block while Jennifer Joraskie followed with 10 kills during the match. The Spartans hit .261 as a team as opposed to the Bearcats .160. Holly Mauldin led USC Upstate in assists with 26 while Shannon Pallardy followed with 19. Erin Hagemann and Brittany Harry led the Spartans on defense with 14 and 13 digs respectively.

Lander was led offensively by Sara Senn who notched a double-double with 10 kills and 16 digs. Claire Damon handed out 24 assists for the Bearcats. Christy Plecha recorded three solo blocks to lead Lander on the evening.
