GREENWOOD – No. 1 seed Lander men's basketball will play No. 8 seed USCA in the Peach Belt Conference Tournament quarterfinals at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 4 in
Finis Horne Arena, it was revealed by the conference office this evening.
The Bearcats topped the Pacers on both occasions during the regular season by finals of 84-70 at home on Jan. 3, and 77-68 on the road on Feb. 21.
The programs are evenly matched throughout history, to put it plainly: Lander has 58 wins over USCA, while the Pacers have 56 over the Bearcats.
LU concluded the regular season with 17 conference wins and an .850 winning percentage in PBC play to claim the top seed – both are new program records.
