AUGUSTA, Ga. – On the heels of her second career win,
Kajsa Lindqvist was named the Peach Belt Conference Women's Golfer of the Week this afternoon.
Lindqvist, who took home Individual Medalist honors for the first time, won a playoff over Tampa's Justine Bayle to claim victory at the World Golf Invitational in St. Augustine, Florida.
She birdied the fourth playoff hole to win and finished at even-par 216 with rounds of 73/72/71, in that order, in a field of 90 competitors.
Lindqvist sank 11 birdies (T-2nd in the field) and had 36 pars (T-6th). She was also second in par-4 scoring at -2, and T-6th in par-5 scoring (-2).
Her first career win came last season at Monticello Golf Club in LU's Savannah Lakes Invitational.
The Bearcats are currently competing in the Battle at Hilton Head at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Course at Palmetto Dunes.
