Lander Set for ITA Southeast Regional Tennis Action This Weekend

SUMTER, S.C. - Lander men's and women's tennis individual athletes are set to represent the Bearcats this weekend at the 2025 ITA Southeast Men's and Women's Regional Championships at the Palmetto Tennis Center in Sumter, S.C. First-round action begins Friday, Sept. 26, with all draws starting in the Round of 64.

Each school is guaranteed two singles entries and one doubles team in the main draw, with selections designated by the coaches. Lander will feature three men's singles players, two women's singles players, and multiple doubles teams looking to make deep runs in one of the region's premier fall tournaments.

Men's Doubles

Brendan Jayaprakash and Harry Pugh open against Carson-Newman at 8 a.m.
Anton Krondell and Max Barriere also start at 8 a.m. against a duo from Virginia-Wise.

Women's Doubles

Evelyn Altmaier and Maria Jose Zarza face Lees-McRae at 9 a.m.

Men's Singles

Krondell will take on Alexandru Giurea of Lincoln Memorial at 10 a.m.
Pugh meets Radu Florea, also of Lincoln Memorial, at 10:30 a.m.
Jayaprakash is slated against Ricard Novell of Belmont Abbey at 11:30 a.m.

Women's Singles

Zarza opens against Margarita Roshka of Newberry at 1:30 p.m.
Altmaier follows at 2 p.m. against Marie Fairier of Flagler.
