Samantha Allison Steps Down as Lander Women’s Tennis Head Coach

GREENWOOD – Lander University head women's tennis coach Samantha Allison has stepped down from her position to spend more time with her family.

Allison took over the Bearcats' program in 2018 and led the team to consistent success over her tenure. Under her leadership, Lander qualified for the Peach Belt Conference Tournament each year, produced multiple All-Conference selections, and celebrated two Elite 18 Award winners. Her impact on the program extended beyond wins and accolades, as she prioritized academic achievement, character, and development in her student-athletes.

"I want to thank Sam for all her hard work as the head of our Women's Tennis program," said Athletic Director Brian Reese. "She built a culture that produced success on and off the court, and we wish her and her family all the best in their next steps in life."

A national search for the next leader of the Bearcat Women's Tennis program is already underway.
