Lander Shines in Tri-Meet Victory Over Wingate and King

BRISTOL, Tenn. - Lander Acrobatics & Tumbling (3-1) put together a strong performance on Tuesday night, securing a tri-meet victory over Wingate and King hosted by King University (Tenn.). The Bearcats finished with a score of 245.055, outpacing Wingate (235.830) and King (234.430).

Lander established its lead early, posting a 35.70 in the Compulsory event, edging out King (34.95) and Wingate (34.35). The Bearcats succeeded in the pyramid heat, scoring a 9.75, the highest of the round.

The Bearcats maintained their momentum in the Acro event, totaling 27.55 points. Their highest-scoring performance came in the five-element heat, where they notched a 9.55, again the highest score of the round. 

Lander extended its advantage in the pyramid event, posting a 28.65, once again leading all teams. The Bearcats delivered strong performances in each heat, scoring a 9.50 in Inversion, 9.35 in Synchronized, and a 9.80 in the Open heat. 

In the toss event, Lander scored 26.45, topping Wingate (23.80) and King (22.75). The Bearcats' 450 Salto toss performance earned them a 9.20. 

Lander's tumbling event showcased its precision, as the team compiled a 50.125. The 6 Element and Open pass proved to be a highlight, with Lander scoring a 9.425 with a start value of 10.00 in each. 

The Bearcats capped off the night with a strong team event, earning 76.58 points to seal the dominant victory.
