GREENWOOD - The Lander University Women's Rugby team began their Fall Season with a commanding 49-10 win over the University of South Carolina Gamecocks.

Makayla Lowe expressed her satisfaction with the team's performance, highlighting their aggressive play and swift adjustment to the game.
"I am extremely pleased with their performance," Coach Lowe said. "We started with eleven players in August, and we added eleven athletes who made their debut in this match. Coach Coco and I are very impressed with their rapid adaptation and outstanding performance."
UP NEXT
The team will look to build on this momentum as they travel to Marietta, Ga. next week for a friendly match against Life University on Saturday, Sept. 21.
