Valdosta, Ga. - In a top-10 nonconference matchup, #5 Valdosta State defeated #10 Lander 6-1 Wednesday afternoon.
Marcus Sorensen and Nick Beamish won their number two doubles match 6-3, but the Blazers won the other two matches to take the doubles point. Ishmail ElShafei picked up the straight-sets win at number six singles, but Valdosta State would take the other five singles matches to secure the win.
