Azusa, Ca. - #5 ranked Azusa Pacific defeated Lander 277.970-257.160 Tuesday night in the Bearcats' second-straight meet versus a ranked team.

The Bearcats started the night with a 32.50 in the Compulsory Event. The highest score in that event came during the pyramid heat, with Lander scoring 9.50 out of 10. Next up, Lander scored 26.80 in the Acro Event.

During the Pyramid Event, the Bearcats scored 25.20, including a 9.75 in Heat 3. At the half, Lander trailed Azusa Pacific 94.15-84.50. 

When Lander returned from halftime, they opened with a 9.20 in the first heat. In the Tumbling event, the Bearcats earned 52.200, with the highest score of 9.525 on the Aerial pass. 

Lander finished the night with a 94.010 in the Team Event.
