GREENWOOD - Lander ran past Georgia College and State University Saturday afternoon for their eighth-straight shutout. The win is the Bearcats' 11th straight win, setting a new program record. The win also extends their home winning streak to 12 games, and their consecutive sets won streak to 25.
Lander dominated the Bobcats in every phase of the game. They held them to a .000 hitting percentage while hitting an amazing .589.
Olivia Dow again led the Bearcats with 12 kills, and Katie Miller added 10. Lauren Dow dished out 35 assists in the three sets, while Patricia Pantoja had nine digs. Christina Aguayo led Lander with three service aces, and Olivia Dow and Blondie Penaflor each had two blocks.
