GREENWOOD - The Lander volleyball team dominated Converse 3-0 to extend their program-record winning streak to 12 games.
The Bearcats held the Valkyries to just a .059 hitting percentage. Katie Miller led all players with 12 kills, while Blondie Penaflor and Olivia Dow added eight and seven, respectively. Lauren Dow had a game-high 31 assists, while Patricia Pantoja had 13 digs. Miller and Christina Aguayo finished with ten digs each, and Aguayo had a game-high four aces.

The Bearcats lead the nation with a total of 16 wins on the season. (No other team in the country at the D-II level has 16 wins.) In fact, Lander and The Citadel are the only two teams in the nation (D-I or D-II) with 16 wins.
In addition, the Bearcats have registered 28 single-set victories which not only marks a school record, but also the nation's longest single-set win streak.
