GREENWOOD - The Lander men's soccer team picked up its first win of the season, and the first win for Dale Parker as head coach, in style with a 3-0 victory over Montevallo Saturday evening at Van Taylor Stadium.

How It Happened
The Bearcats jumped out an early lead in the 13th minute of action. After a foul led to a free kick, Aingeru Aguirre laced a kick to Jonah Miller who headed home the opening goal. Lander would take a 1-0 lead into the half with seven shots taken in the first frame.
The second half saw two more Bearcats join the scoring party.
Christian Hatley would score his team-leading third goal of the season in the 47th minute after quick passes from Rob Dymond and Grant Wagner found him open down the field to give the Blue and Gold a 2-0 edge.
Giacomo Sartori would cap the scoring off in the 80th minute after he headed a lofted pass from Michele Zucchi to give Lander its 3-0 final score.
