Belmont, N.C. - The Bearcats' score of 247.810 wasn't enough to withstand #10 Belmont Abbey's 259.670 on Friday night, as Lander is now 5-3 on the season.
Acrobatics & Tumbling started out the evening scoring 35.05 in the Compulsory Event, only 0.45 shy of BAC's total. Their highest heat score was a 9.55Â coming in the pyramid heat. The Bearcats were also steady in the Acro Event, scoring a 26.70 The Blue and Gold went into the half with a score of 90.20 after a 28.45 score in the Pyramid Event. The Crusades led by 1.2.
The Toss Event was the only time that the Bearcats outscored Belmont Abbey. Lander score 26.05 and BAC scored 25.90. Acrobatics & Tumbling continued with a Toss Event score of 48.500. The highest score in this event was a 9 out of 10in the Open Pass. The Bearcats wrapped up the night scoring an 83.06 in the Team Event.
Lander returns to the mat on April 5th at Coker at 5 pm. This will be their last meet of the regular season.
