Murfreesboro, N.C. - Acrobatics & tumbling leave North Carolina with a 1-1 split against Chowan and Converse for their first tri-meet of the season. The Bearcats scored 252.655, less than five points behind #8 Converse.

Lander took a lead during the Compulsory round, scoring 36.60. During the Acro event, the Bearcats scored a 9.55 out of 10 in the first heat, totaling 27.10 for that event. Acrobatics & Tumbling went into the Half with the lead, scoring 28.05 during Pyramid for a running total of 91.75.

The Bearcats opened the Toss event with a score of 25.12. During the Tumbling event, Lander scored a 9.675 out of 10 in the Open Pass heat. Converse took the lead right before the Team event. The Bearcats were unable to relinquish the lead from Converse, as they score 3.18 more than Lander to sweep both teams.

Acrobatics & Tumbling will host their last home meet on Wednesday, March 22nd at 5 pm. They will face Emmanuel and #6 Limestone on Senior Day.
