Florence, S.C. - The Bearcats were victorious in their first match of the season against Lenoir-Rhyne. After a delayed start, women's tennis won 4-1 in an evening match at the City of Florence College Tennis Invitational. Due to the late start, only Singles matches were played.
Mille Elsborg was pushed to three sets, ultimately winning 6-3, 2-6, 6-3. Maranda Adair and Hannah Panchal won in two straight sets. Panchal took her match 7-5, 7-5 and Adair was victorious 6-2, 6-3. Emily Ineson wrapped up the night with a 6-0, 7-6[2] triumph for the winning point.
Women's tennis returns to the Dr. Eddie Floyd Florence Tennis Center on Saturday at 11:00 am to face the winner of Friday's Barton/Coker match.
