Men's soccer draws 3-3 at Lynn

BOCA RATON, FLA. - The Lander men's soccer team ended its trip to Florida with a 3-3 tie at Lynn University Sunday afternoon.

Lander moves to 1-1-2 overall while Lynn moves to 0-1-3 overall.

The Bearcats attempted 11 shots against Lynn, with seven shots going on target.

The Bearcats offense this season has been productive every game, as Lander has scored at least two goals through the first four games of the season.

After a scoreless first half that saw Lander put two shots on target, the Bearcats would be the first to score in the second frame.

Kevin Rubaszewski fired home the game's opening goal in the 53rd minute of play after some nifty passes from Carson Dinger and Rob Dymond to push Lander in front. Rubaszewski wouldn't be done scoring, as he fired a long-range blast to give Lander a 2-0 advantage in the 62nd minute of action. The final goal of the day for Lander would be scored by Marco Gueli, who found the back of the goal in the 65th minute.

Lynn would score all three of its goals past the 87th minute to bring the game to a final 3-3 score.

Keanu Ridgill made three saves in his first start of the season for the Bearcats. Ridgill is 0-0-1 on the season.

Lander plays its first home game of the season when it hosts North Georgia on September 7 to begin conference action as well.
