Cleveland, Tenn. - Women's golf travels back home to Greenwood with a fourth place finish at the City with Spirit Classic on Tuesday. The Bearcats moved up one spot after the first day of competition with a final score of 927 (308+310+309).
The #11 Limestone Saints maintained their first place position, finishing with a score of 907. #6 Anderson was only two shots behind to take second. The hosts, #9 Lee, swapped places with Anderson to complete the top-three scoring 910.
Lander shot 63-over-par, led by the performance of
Sakurako Tanaka who shot 13-over-par to tie for 12th. Kajsa Lindqvist was not far behind also finishing in the top-20 with a 15-over-par performance.
Gracie McCoy and
Ella Nilsson both shot 21-over-par to tie for 36th, while
Caroline Hardee was one shot behind putting together a 22-over-par outing.
Cara Hilburn competed as an individual and finished tied for 75th at 48-over-par.
The Bearcats have a week off before their next event at the LeeAnn Noble Memorial, hosted by North Georgia on Oct. 10-11th.
