Lander Set to Battle #4 Columbus State on Saturday

Greenwood, S.C. - The Bearcats host #4 Columbus State on Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Joe Cabri Tennis Center.

STORYLINES

The last time the Bearcats stepped on the court they were defeated by Augusta 3-4 on April 2nd.
Emily Ineson and Mille Elsborg won their Doubles match 6-2, as well as Hannah Panchal and Raquel Acco who came out victorious 6-4, gaining the Doubles point against Augusta.
Elsborg and Roberta Armani won their matches as well to earn two more points for the Bearcats in Singles.
Columbus State is ranked No. 4 in the nation by ITA, holding a 12-4 record this Spring streaking at eight wins.
The Cougars won the last battle against Lander with a 7-0 shutout, and hold a 20-2 winning record against the Bearcats.
Lander is currently the 55th best team in the nation according to ITA, announced on April 7th.
This week Hannah Panchal was named Peach Belt Player of the Week for women's tennis, the first honor this season for the Bearcats.
