The Saints struck first in the top of the first inning as they used a wild pitch to get the first run of the game. Lander quickly answered back in the bottom of the inning, as Caleb Singleton singled to right field before coming home on a blast from Dupert over the right-field fence to put the Bearcats up 2-1.

The second inning would see neither side score while the third would start a six-inning streak where the Saints would score at least one run.

Lander wouldn't get back on the board until the sixth inning with the Saints in front 9-2. After Vincent DeRubeis walked to begin the inning, Droze launched a home run to the right-center field to make it a 9-4 contest.
