Lander shuts out Columbus State 3-0 in series opener

GREENWOOD - Lander scored three runs with two outs to take a 3-0 win over Columbus State in the Peach Belt Conference series opener Friday evening.

KEY INNINGS 
BOT 1 Shannon Antonini reached on an error with two outs and advanced to second when Barbara Cook walked.  Abbie Behe thing singled through the right side to score Antonini to give the Bearcats the lead.   
BOT 2 With two outs, Naya Jones reached on a bunt single and then stole second and third base.  She would score on a single by Sage Jones to make it 2-0.  
BOT 6 Jillian Terpenning pinch hit to lead off the inning and drew a walk and then stole second.  Bridgett Tierneny drew a walk with two outs and the ball got away form the catcher, allowing Terpenning to score from second.
