Gaffney, S.C. - Acrobatics & Tumbling lost at #6 Limestone 256.760-273.430 on Friday, ending the regular season for the Bearcats at 3-5.
Lander started off the Compulsory Event totaling 35.25 out of 40, with their highest heat coming in the toss with a 9.60. The Bearcats had only a two point deduction, scoring a 28 with a 9.75 first heat (5-Element). The Blue and Gold also continued a strong effort scoring a 9.75 in Heat 1 (Inversion) and 9.70 in Heat 3 (Open), totaling 28.85 out of 29.80. The Bearcats went into halftime with a score of 92.10, trailing Limestone by 3.50.
The Bearcats opened the second half scoring a 25.30 out of 26.25 in the Toss event. Their highest heat was 450 Salto with a only a 0.10 deduction totaling 8.70. Lander continued fighting into the Tumbling event, earning a 51.400 with a high score of 9.325 in 6-Element. Acrobatics & Tumbling wrapped up the evening with an 87.96 Team event score, bringing their score to 256.760. Lander looks onto postseason play this month.
