BOCA RATON, Fla. - Lynn defeated Lander 18-11 Wednesday afternoon in the Bearcats opening game in Florida.

The Knights scored the first three goals of the game to take the early lead. Emmy Peterson would score with just over eight minutes remaining in the period and then Izzy Olson scored on an assist from Alyssa Suchan to make it a one goal game. After Lynn scored their forth goal, Lanie Graves scored on an assist from Suchan to again make it a one goal deficit for Lander. Melissa Clapsaddle would score on Suchan's third assist of the period with just over a minute remaining as the Bearcats would trail 6-4 after 15 minutes. |

Peterson scored the lone Bearcat goal in the second period on an assist by Clapsaddle as the Knights outscored Lander 5-1 to take an 11-5 lead into the half. |

Less than a minute into the period Suchan scored her first goal of the game and Clapsaddle added her second goal at the 9:38 mark but Lynn continued to lead 15-7 heading into hte final quarter |

Clapsaddle would score her third goal and Peterson added hier third and fourth goals of the game, while Emma Arifin scored with jsut over two minutes left for the Bearcats. |
