Mary Claire Robinson put the Bearcats on the board on an assist from Alyssa Suchan four minutes into the game to give Lander the lead. Two minutes later, Peterson scored her first goal on an assist from Emma Arifin to make it 2-0. Montevallo answered with three straight goals to take their first lead of the game. With 27 seconds left in the period, Peterson scored again to tie the game at three. |

Melissa Clapsaddle scored 10 seconds into the period to give the Bearcats the lead again. Mickey Burnett scored two goals in the next five minutes to make it a 6-3 game. The Falcons scored twice to cut it to a 6-5 game, but Arifin scored with 11 seconds left to give Lander a two-goal lead going into the half. |

Montevallo came out and scored the first three goals of the half to regain the lead 8-7. The Bearcats answered with goals from Lanie Graves and Robins to take a 9-8 lead into the final quarter. |

Burnett scored on an assist from Suchan 34 seconds into the period to put Lander up by two. After Montevallo cut the lead to one goal, Clapsaddle scored her second goal of the game to make it 11-9. The Falcons responded with two goals to tie the game up with 1:37 remaining. Peterson would take the free-possession shot and find the back of the net to give the Bearcats the lead and the win. |
