Down 4-0 heading into the fourth, Lander would start the inning with a Chase Doughtery walk. Dougherty wouldn't stay there long, as Wilder smashed a triple to center field to score Dougherty for the Bearcat's first run. With the bases loaded, Landon Dupert hit into a fielder's choice that saw no one out after a throwing error from the Crusader's first baseman. Garrett and Matthew Burgess would score on the play to bring Lander even with North Greenville. The very next at-bat would see Droze bash a home run over the right-field fence to score three and put Lander up 7-4. The Bearcats would plate two more runs, as Wilder would smash a two-run bomb to center field and give Lander a 9-4 edge.
North Greenville would respond with four runs in the bottom of the inning to cut the lead to a single run.
The Crusaders would then plate a run in the fifth to tie the game at 9-9.
Lander would score two runs in the top of the sixth on a pair of fielder's choices hit by Wilder and Tyler Prell.
North Greenville would respond with five runs in the bottom of the sixth before scoring a run in the seventh and two in the eighth to take their 17-11 win.
