Florence, S.C. - Women's tennis took home second place after falling in the City of Florence Invitational championship round to Newberry 0-4. 

Mille Elsborg and Ineson were the winning pair in No. 1 doubles scoring 6-4. No. 2 doubles duo Chiara Gerbino and Roberta Armani and No. 3 doubles players Maranda Adair and Raquel Acco were both defeated, giving Newberry the point. 

The Wolves next three points came in the No. 1, 2, and 5 Singles matches. Adair, Elsborg, and Shea Connelly each dropped both of their sets. 

Lander will meet Newberry again in February, but their next match is against Lees-McRae back home at Joe Cabri Tennis Center on Wednesday, Feb. 9.
