GREENWOOD - The Lander women's lacrosse team hosts Coker University tomorrow at 2:00 pm to open up the 2022 season. 

• The Bearcats were picked to finish sixth in the Gulf South Conference after finishing 2021 3-7.  
• This will be the first meeting between the Bearcats and Cobras.
• Senior Melissa Clapsaddle and juniors Alyssa Suchan and Emmy Peterson were named top returners in the GSC for Lander after accounting for 73 goals and 29 assists last season.
• Suchan finished 2021 fourth in the conference in shots per game (7.18), eighth in goals per game (2.73), and tenth in goals (30). Peterson finished second in the GSC in free position goals per game (1.18), fourth in assists per game (1.73), fifth in assists (19), shots per game, and sixth in points per game (4.27). Clapsaddle finished 2021 fourth in the conference in draw controls per game (5.27) and sixth in ground balls per game (2.45).  
• Freshmen Mickey Burnett, Autumn Huskey, and Izzy Olson were each named a top newcomer for Lander by the conference.
