Acrobatics & Tumbling Earn Their First Program Win at Emmanuel

Franklin Springs, Ga. - The Bearcats bring back their first win in program history in their second year of competition. Lander defeated Emmanuel 240.47-217.67 on Sunday afternoon.

The Acrobatics and Tumbling team out-dueled the Lions in every event. Lander finished with a total score of 33.85 for Compulsory, their highest heat coming in the Pyramid scoring 9.55. The final Acro event score was 24.70, as the 7-Element heat led that event at 8.95. The Bearcats were not done yet, they scored 26.15 in the Pyramid event to take a 84.70-76.80 into halftime.

The Bearcats opened up the first half with a Toss event score of 24.45, earning a high score of 8.85 in Salto. The Aerial heat during the Tumbling event sparked a 9.30 score, helping bring the total score of that event to 47.65. Lander wrapped up the afternoon with a 83.67 team score, securing the victory.

Acrobatics & Tumbling doesn't compete again until March 17 in a tri-meet against Mars Hill and Coker. Mars Hill will host that meet.
