Men's lacrosse scores 19 goals against Lincoln Memorial for fourth straight win

GREENWOOD – After scoring 20 goals against Emmanuel on Wednesday, the Lander men's lacrosse team put away 19 goals against Lincoln Memorial at Van Taylor Stadium Saturday afternoon.

Lander is now 4-0 overall while Lincoln Memorial drops to 0-3.

The Bearcats have scored 73 goals while only allowing 29 in their current four-game winning streak to begin the season.

Lander saw 16 players score a goal against the Railsplitters, while Krew Conroy, Drew Wilson and Adam Mather were all tied for the team lead with two goals each. Nolan Oakey, Wilson and Mather were all tied for the team lead in assists with two each. Jake Watson collected seven ground balls on the day while Wilson and James Linn each caused two turnovers. Watson also went 11-of-16 in face-offs against LMU.

Liam Mackay started and played 35 minutes while making four saves. He is now 4-0 on the season. Nicholas Paige, who made four saves, and Rhys Peterson also saw time against the Railsplitters.

The Bearcats battle Coker on February 23 at Emerald High Schools at 6 pm for their next contest.
