Lander took the early lead when Emmy Peterson scored three minutes into the game on an assist from Melissa Clapsaddle. Alyssa Suchan would find Mary Claire Robinson a minute later to make it a 2-0 game. The Bears would finally get on the board with 9:43 remaining in the period to cut the lead to one. Izzy Olson scored on an assist from Madelyn Tompkins five minutes later to make the score 3-1 heading into the second period. |
2nd Quarter |
Lenoir-Rhyne again cut it to a one goal game at the 11:01 mark, but the Bearcats answered with goals by Olson Suchan and Clapsaddle to take a 6-2 lead into the half. |
3rd Quarter |
The Bears scored just 25 seconds into the period to cut the lead to three, however Suchan would score again and make it 7-3. Lenoir-Rhyne scored the final goal of the period with seven minutes remaining to make it a 7-4 game. |
4th Quarter |
Thompkins and Mickey Burnett score the first two goals of the period, but the Bears responded with a goal of their own to make it 9-5. Clapsaddle answered with her second and third goal of the game to increase the lead to six. Peterson and Clapsaddle each added one more goal as Lander took the win. |
