STORYLINES

• Lander lost to North Georgia 49-40 Saturday afternoon in a top-15 battle.     
• Makaila Cangé led all players with 17 points and pulled down 12 rebounds for her 14th double-double of the season. Aniaya Jester scored 12 points and one assist. Sarah Crews added a team-high six assists. 
• Cangé is currently 28 points away from scoring her 1,000 career points.  
• Lander leads the Peach Belt and is third in NCAA Division II in assists per game (18.1). They are also first in the PBC and fifth in scoring margin (22.2). The Bearcats lead the PBC in assist-turnover ratio (1.12), field-goal percentage (44.9), offensive rebounds per game (15.8), and scoring offense (80.5). They are also second in assists (363), blocked shots per game (4.2), and rebound margin (7.6).
• Cange currently leads the PBC and is second in the country in field-goal percentage (68.2), first in the conference, and fifth in Division II in offensive rebounds per game (5.0). She is also second in the conference in points per game (20.7) and rebounds per game (10.6). Cangé leads the conference in double-doubles (14), free throws made (103).   
• Miriam Recarte is first in the conference and is 4th nationally in blocked shots per game (3.0), leads the PBC, and is 9th in the country in blocked shots (60).
• Last time out, Georgia College lost to Georgia Southwestern 60-37.
