GREENWOOD, S.C. - The 8th-ranked Lander men's tennis team continued their hot play to start the season, defeating Converse 6-1.
The Bearcats dominated doubles play, sweeping all three matches. Matthew De Groot and Bailey Horne won their number one doubles match 6-3. Hugo Regner and Nick Beamish, and Thomas De Negri Alexandre Crepy each won their matches 6-1.
De Negri lost his number one singles match to give Converse their lone point. Regner defeated Leopold Morel 6-2, 6-2, while Nicholas Chan defeated Gregoire Legrand 7-6, 6-3. Emilien Baradel defeated Paul Berrouet 6-2, 6-0. De Groot took down Louka Queguiner 6-2, 6-2 and Mouad Naoui beat Cameron Davies 6-1, 6-1.
