JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. - In their opening game of the PBC/SAC Crossover, Lander fell 3-0 to Carson-Newman Friday afternoon.
Senior Madilyn Reed led the Bearcats with her sixth double-double in her last seven games, dishing out 25 assists and recording 12 digs. Her 25 assists give her 4,317 for her career, breaking the program record for assists in the rally-scoring era (2008-present). It also moves her into second place in career assists throughout all eras.
Christina Aguayo led the Lander attack with 11 kills, while Katie Miller had six and Maya Walker added five. Kamaria Curry had eight digs, and Miller had seven for the Bearcats. Annie Holesinger led all players with four blocks, while McCayla Willingham and Walker both had three blocks.
