STORYLINES

• The Bearcats find themselves 2-2 to start the season after defeating Lees-McRae and Queens on the first day before losing to Wingate and Elizabeth City on the second day.
• Christina Aguayo set a new career-high in kills with 21 against Lees-McRae and followed that up with 20 against Queens the next match.
• Madilyn Reed helped the Bearcats in a five-set match against Queens, as she was recorded with 53 assists against the Royals.
• Lander is 7-1 all-time vs Erskine, with the Flying Fleet bringing back volleyball in 2009.
• Erskine is 1-3 after hosting the Erskine Tournament. In their three losses, the Flying Fleet only won two sets. Their lone win was a 3-2 victory over PBC foe Georgia College on September 3.
• Kaile Tuisamatatele and Mereith Hollinger lead Erskine in kills with 43 each. Laney Gaston is the leader in assists with 132 while Tuisamatatele also leads the Flying Fleet with 13 blocks.
• Lander returns to tournament play with the Pacer Invitation on September 10 and 11 where they'll go up against Francis Marion, Belmont Abbey, Coker and Converse.
