LAKE RUSSELL, Ga. – The Lander Bass Fishing team made a big splash over the weekend as the Bearcats finished second as a team while having the no. 1 team in the competition.
Taking part in the Palmetto Boar Center College Tournament Trail at Lake Russell, the team of Parker Lambert and Koby Horn took first place after reeling in five fish for a total of 250 points.
Lander had one other team finish in the top-10, as Hunter Enlow and Aaron Shumaker finished with 242 points. Daelyn Whaley and Julia Levister finished in 17th place overall with 234 points while Tanner Maness and Chandler Ellis place 20th with 230 points.
Robert Herring and Hayden Fuhr finished with 227 points, Christopher Daniels and Alex Cummings finished with 224 while the team of Cole Taylor-Solo and Chad Mrazek finished close behind with 223 points.
Cade Blackwell and Hunter Temples finished with 215 points, Bobby Long and Lane Galloway finished with 214 points, Tyler Anderson and Britt Myers finished with 208 points while Jake Adams finished with 202 points.
Lander next sees action on September 25 when it takes part in the South Carolina Bass Nation College Trail.
