GREENWOOD – The Lander women's soccer team will battle Auburn-Montgomery for the first time in program history this Sunday at Van Taylor Stadium.

STORYLINES
- The Bearcats won their last match 6-0 against Southern Wesleyan on Sept. 8.
- Lander saw six different goal scorers against the Warriors, with Mary Moosbrugger, Gracie Beeson, Romie Llewellyn, Maren White, Emilee Moberg and Annika Seifart all finding the back of the net.
- Lander has shut out its opponents in back-to-back contests.
- The last time Lander scored six or more goals was against Georgia Southwestern in the 2019 season. The Bearcats shut out the Hurricanes 8-0. Lander also shut out Coker 7-0 that same season.
- This will be the first time Lander has met the Warhawks in women's soccer.
- White leads the Bearcats in goals with three and points with six. Moosbrugger is the only other Bearcats to score multiple goals in the early season.
- Sarah Owen has played and started in all three games. She's made 11 saves in 259:31 minutes of action and carries a GAA of 0.69. Taylor Frew saw action against Southern Wesleyan, playing over 30 minutes against the Warriors.
- The Warhawks are coming into this contest 1-1-0 overall. After starting the season with a 4-1 loss against Florida Tech to start the season, they most recently defeated Newberry 1-0 on Friday.
- Jennifer Beharie and Sydney Garth have scored the two goals this season while Anila Mantello was credited with an assist.
- Karla Gaytan has started and played in net both games, she's made 14 saves in 180 minutes of action.
- This past spring saw the Warhawks go 1-5. Their only win came in a 1-0 win on the road against Shorter.
- Lander takes to the road to face Coker for its next match.
