AUGUSTA, Ga. – For the second week in a row, the Lander women's soccer team collected two of the Peach Belt Conference Women's Soccer Player of the Week awards. Langley Stewart was tabbed the Defensive Player of the Week for the first time in her career, while Leah Hayes Coen grabbed the Goalkeeper of the Week for the second straight week and seventh time overall.

Stewart and the Bearcats went 1-0-1 last week as she scored her second career goal against Converse in a 2-0 win when she headed-in a Darcy Ahern corner-kick. Stewart's defensive unit allowed zero shots on goal in that game and five against Wingate on Saturday in keeping both opponents to no score.

Hayes Coen produced a pair of clean sheets and made five saves against Wingate in a scoreless draw. Thanks to her defensive line, she wasn't tested against Converse on Wednesday but earned a win playing 90 minutes in goal.

The Bearcats head to Hickory, North Carolina, for a date with the Lenoir-Rhyne Bears tomorrow night (Sept. 9). Kick-off is set for 7:00.
